Bloom’s Taxonomy

The Faculty Development Programme on Bloom’s Taxonomy, held on 27 January 2025, was conducted by Prof. Naveen Kumar. B.N with a focus on strengthening outcome-based education practices at the institution. The session provided faculty members with a clear understanding of how to frame measurable learning objectives using Bloom’s hierarchical model. Through hands-on exercises, participants practiced aligning Program Outcomes (POs), Course Outcomes (COs), and lesson plans to ensure clarity in student assessment and curriculum mapping. The workshop concluded with practical examples demonstrating how appropriate action verbs and assessment tools can be used to evaluate higher-order thinking skills effectively.

The Faculty Development Programme on “Micro Teaching – A New Learning,” held on 24 February 2024, was facilitated by Dr. Hema Doreswamy. The session introduced participants to micro teaching as an effective practice-based model for skill refinement. Faculty members engaged in structured peer-teaching activities, received real-time feedback, and reflected on their instructional techniques. Dr. Hema emphasized the importance of concise teaching episodes, lesson planning precision, and the integration of technology for learner engagement. The FDP successfully enhanced participants’ teaching confidence and pedagogical adaptability.
